By Car:

Visitors to Oxford are encouraged to use the Park and Ride facilities located around the Oxford Ring Road.

By Car from the South East:

(London M40)
Follow the M40 to Junction 8 then follow A40 towards Oxford.
After 6 miles, the dual carriageway meets a roundabout. Continue straight on.
After 3 miles, there is a mini roundabout. Turn right.
Having gone over Magdalen Bridge, get in the right hand lane to turn right at the traffic lights.
Follow this winding road (Longwall Street which becomes Saint Cross Road)
The road bends very sharply to the left (becoming South Parks Road)
Take the first left (into Mansfield Road)
The driveway to the pharmacology department is the first turning on the left (immediately before the playing field)

By Car from the North:

(Birmingham M40)
Follow the M40 to Junction 9 and at the top of the slip road turn right at the roundabout onto the A34.
After 8 miles, take the exit at the Peartree interchange for Oxford. At the end of the sliproad turn left at the roundabout towards Oxford on the A44.
At the next roundabout take the second exit onto Northway (signposted hospitals, London M40)
At the next roundabout take the third exit onto Banbury Road (signposted Summertown)
Go straight at the first set of traffic lights (excluding the numerous pedestrian crossings) and left at the second set (onto Parks Road, signposted Science Area). At the next lights turn left (into South Parks Road).
Take the first right (into Mansfield Road)
The driveway to the pharmacology department is the first turning on the left (immediately before the playing field)

By Car from the South West:

(Bristol M4)
Follow the M4 to Junction 13 and at the end of the slip road turn left onto the A34.
After 23 miles, take the exit at the Hinksey Hill Interchange for Oxford. At the end of the sliproad turn right at the roundabout (signpposted London M40).
At the next roundabout take the first exit (onto Abingdon Road A4144, signposted City Centre)
Go straight at the first set of traffic lights and right at the second set (onto Weirs Lane/Donnington Bridge Road B4495). At the next lights turn left (into Iffley Road A4158).
At the mini roundabout go straight towards the city centre.
Having gone over Magdalen Bridge, get in the right hand lane to turn right at the traffic lights.

By Air:

London Heathrow and Gatwick airports are linked to Oxford by The Airline coach service, which operate a direct frequent service twenty-four hours a day. The Heathrow Express is a fast rail link (15 minutes) to Paddington Station where a connection to trains to Oxford can be made. London Stansted airport is linked to Oxford by the National Express 757 coach, running every two hours.

By Rail:

A frequent direct service operates between Oxford and London Paddington, and between Oxford and Birmingham New Street via Banbury and Coventry. Other services operate from the north via Birmingham New Street; from the South via Reading; and from the west via Didcot or Reading. By Coach:

Frequent 24-hour direct services connect Oxford with London (peak times every 10-20 minutes). The Oxford Espress service includes Victoria Coach Station, Grosvenor Gardens, Marble Arch, Baker Street/Gloucester Place and Hillingdon.(tel: 01865 785410). The Oxford Tube service includes Grosvenor Gardens, Marble Arch, Notting Hill Gate, Shepherd's Bush, and Hillingdon (tel: 01865 772250).
